The event is usually oversubscribed so send your application form to Roy ASAP. Some of us make a weekend of it by camping on the car stand on the Saturday night. Our main show day is Sunday when we will be awarding trophies for the Best Presented MX-5’s and drawing the raffle. Further info when I have it. LA5-9RQ Signs are clear for the two minute ride from M6 Junction 35. Meet 10.00am for 10.30am start. Coffee stop in Torver, before tackling both the Wrynose and Hardknott Passes. These passes offer wonderful views and will present a challenge to the drivers. After lunch at Dalegarth, the run heads on to Corney for yet more spectacular views, and finally finishes at Lowick Green. Tulip map available on North West website. Sunday 29thJune 2008 Serpentine Charity Run - organised by Cheshire Lotus Owners Group We have been invited to participate in this event. It is open to all types of classic car and motorbike and will start from 9am at The Buxton Community School, and involve a route though the Peak District National Park taking in some of the UK’s most beautiful scenery. Entrants will be given their route maps at the registration point, where they can also get refreshments (tea, coffee, bacon butties and the like), and from where they will also be started at regular intervals. The journey will be approximately 100 miles and will involve several stops at places of interest as well as stops for refreshments etc and will culminate in a display of all the cars at the finish line in one of the Peak Districts historic locations (it’s a secret until you get there) around mid afternoon. This is not a race and the planned journey time though the Peak District is to be around 4 hours There will be an entry fee of £10 per car, which should enable a substantial donation to the chosen local charities. From the 27th August 2008, we will be be moving to the Boatyard Inn, Bolton Road, Riley Green, Hoghton, Lancashire, PR5 0SP.
