Serpentine Charity Run - organised by Cheshire Lotus Owner's Group
|
|
We have been invited to participate in this event. It is open to all types of classic car and motorbike and will start from 9am at The Buxton Community School, and involve a route though the Peak District National Park taking in some of the UK’s most beautiful scenery, Entrants will be given their route maps at the registration point, where they can also get refreshments (tea, coffee, bacon butties and the like), and from where they will also be started at regular intervals.
The journey will be approximately 100 miles and will involve several stops at places of interest as well as stops for refreshments etc and will culminate in a display of all the cars at the finish line in one of the Peak Districts historic locations (it’s a secret until you get there) around mid afternoon.
This is not a race and the planned journey time though the Peak District is to be around 4 hours to allow you to enjoy the scenery, stop for lunch or a picnic as well as enjoy your driving experience.
There will be an entry fee of £10 per car, which should enable a substantial donation to the chosen local charities. If interested

Northumbrian Weekend
|
|
Staying in Alnwick at the White Swan Cost per couple for 2 nights is £250 this is for DB&B on Friday and B&B on Saturday. We
are in a town centre location, which provides more possibilities for the evenings' frivolities! (Stuart's words)
The Friday run up to Alnwick will most probably be from one of the M6
services, getting to the hotel early in the evening. The runs out and
activities are yet to be finalised but options include Kielder.
There is accommodation for 20 couples for the weekend, requiring a
deposit of £30 per couple.
